El Perello is an agricultural village famed for its honey, and has shops specializing in various types of the sweet, sticky produce. El Perello honey can be bought in ordinary glass jars or in exquisite re-usable terracotta pots of all sizes and shapes.
The town square is well maintained, with flora bursting with life and color. Here you can enjoy the reasonably priced bars, cafés and restaurants. It is also the venue of a bustling market selling wonderful local produce. Just beyond the town, towards Rasquera, are the renowned cave wall paintings in the Abric de Cobrafa ixet. Also typical of the rest of Costa Dorada are some remarkable Roman ruins you can explore.
